International Competition Winner and BBC Introducing Artist Valérie Hartzell, who performed earlier this year for Liverpool Guitar Society will perform at The Roebuck, Church Road, Urmston near Manchester on Friday 8th Sep. The concert will feature a UK premiere by Manchester composer Chris Dumigan along with music by Liverpool composer Mark Houghton, Bedfordshire composer Paul Ibbotson, and works by Francisco Tárrega, Roland Dyens, Barrio Mangoré, Manuel Ponce, American composer Andy Mitchell. She will also perform her own arrangements of The Beatles, & Albéniz.

A showcase of local talent will be taking place in the wonderful setting of Birkenhead’s Williamson Art Gallery.
Players from Liverpool Guitar Society will perform an evening recital of solo, duet and quartet pieces.
Music will include favourites from all eras of the classical guitar repertoire, alongside French impressionist Maurice Ravel’s haunting Pavane; the sounds of Spanish Andalucia with Isaac Albeniz’s Cordoba; pieces by contemporaries such as Andrew York, and the lively Brazilian rhythms of Paulo Bellinati.
Refreshments, including mulled wine, will be available in the gallery cafe before the performance and during the interval.
